Pastor Derek Buikema is the Lead Pastor at Orland Park Church, and he has been at OPCRC since August of 2013. Derek and his wonderful wife, Aubrey, have three daughters and one son who fill them with joy. Derek grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and attended Wheaton College, Westminster Seminary, and Calvin Seminary. Each one of those institutions was used by God to deepen Derek's love for Christ, His Word, and the church. When he can find the time he enjoys playing basketball with friends from the church, Ultimate Frisbee, and improvisational comedy. He particularly loves getting to know new people, conversation with good friends, Christ-centered expositional preaching, and the Heidelberg Catechism.

Pastor Dan Roeda is the Pastor of Administration and Congregational Care at Orland Park CRC, and he serves in the areas of pastoral care, education, discipleship, and administration. Pastor Dan grew up in Latin America, the son of missionaries. He graduated from Trinity College and Calvin Seminary. He served as a leadership developer in the Dominican Republic for five years, and then pastored Newton CRC in Iowa for five years and Delavan CRC in Wisconsin for 20 years. His wife, Jan, grew up in South Holland. They have three children who live in Oregon, Texas, and Michigan, and two grandchildren. As a missionary, Dan enjoyed writing curriculum, teaching classes, and helping build church buildings. In Iowa and Wisconsin, he enjoyed preaching, teaching, church administration, and pastoral care in the congregations he served.

Pastor Peter Vos is the Associate Pastor at Orland Park CRC and is responsible for leading the youth ministries, preaching, and discipling young adults at OPCRC. Peter grew up in Orland Park as a member of OPCRC and graduated from Trinity Christian College and Westminster Seminary California. He is married to his lovely wife Jessica since 2020 and they have one son. Peter has a deep love for God’s Word and a genuine appreciation for the Reformed confessions, by which he has the privilege of knowing Christ and making Christ known. He also enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and watching sports any chance he gets.

Nathan is the Director of Worship at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church. He lives in Kankakee, IL with his wife Erin and his sons Clinton and Carter. He graduated from Olivet Nazarene University, where he studied music composition, upright bass, voice, and percussion. In addition to serving as Director of Worship at OPCRC, Nathan is an adjunct professor in the School of Music at Olivet Nazarene University, where he teaches courses in Music Recording and works with the Tiger Marching Band. Nathan’s work as a worship leader has led him to travel around the midwest over the last decade performing at churches and events. He is the founder of the non-profit worship ministry People of Freedom and writes a devotional for his ministry Abiding Daily.

Judy Kamp is the Education Coordinator at OPCRC. Her responsibilities include coordinating the Sunday school program and overseeing children’s church, nursery, adult education, GEMS, Cadets, and the church library. Judy is originally from New Jersey and studied elementary physical education at Calvin College. She and her husband, Bob, have been members at OPCRC since 1987. Previous to taking her position at OPCRC, Judy was a stay-at-home mom to their four children, Matt, Joel, Emily, and Leah. During those years she was active in many volunteer roles, including coach, aerobics instructor, GEMS coordinator, Story Hour director, Sunday school teacher, VBS volunteer, and Children's Church. She also has her own part-time business as a Juice Plus sales coordinator and health coach. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing piano, reading, exercising, and cooking healthy.

Dori Summers is the Office Manager at Orland Park Church. Dori grew up in Palos Heights and attended MacCormac College in Chicago where she received an Associate’s Degree.  She and her husband, Steve, have been members at OPCRC since 2000.  Throughout those years, she has served as a GEMS counselor, Moppets leader, VBS core committee, WOW teacher and small group leader.  Prior to taking her position here at Orland, Dori was a stay-at-home mom to their three children, Simon, Stacy and Seth.  She enjoys being with her family, playing card games, riding her bike and baking.

Denise Vander Plaats is the Communications Coordinator at OPCRC. She is responsible for church communications both within and outside the church. She sends out the weekly news emails, creates graphics for Sunday services and church ministries, prepares the weekly bulletin, and supports our church leadership and ministry leaders in their communication/publication needs. She is also responsible for updating and maintaining the church website. Denise grew up in Palos Heights and attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, where she received a bachelors degree in fine art and English. At OPCRC, she has volunteered as a GEMS counselor, on the committee for Vacation Bible School, and currently serves on the mission committee, the welcome committee, and the praise team. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing volleyball, baking, hanging out with family, and binge watching things on tv. Denise and her husband, Dan, have two children, Ben and Emma.

Jenna Bulthuis is the Youth Ministries Coordinator at Orland Park CRC where she supports the administrative tasks and coordination of Orland Park Church’s middle school and high school youth program. Jenna grew up in Kansas City and moved to downtown Chicago in 2019. She has spent the last four years in the financial services industry at various companies where she was responsible for analyzing financial data, building performance reports, and communicating with investors. Jenna was called to join OPCRC in 2022 after meeting her husband, Corey, and moving closer to the Orland Park area. Outside of church, she co-leads a women’s small group, enjoys working on DIY house projects, and hangs out with her two dogs in her spare time.

Bob Kamp is the head custodian at OPCRC. His responsibilities include building maintenance, set-ups/take-downs, and lawn care. Bob grew up in Oak Lawn, IL, and attended Trinity Christian College for two years and graduated from Calvin College with a teaching degree. After marrying his wife, Judy, in 1985, they lived in Miami and taught at Westminster Christian School for two years. From there, Bob was a framing carpenter for 34 years building single-family homes. Bob has been involved at OPCRC as a deacon, administrative elder, and shepherding elder. He also taught Sunday School for several years. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports with his sons, and playing an occasional round of golf. Oh, and eating his wife's healthy cooking.

Carol Vroom serves Orland Park Christian Reformed Church as Adult Choir Director. Carol has a passion for singing and making music to the LORD. Carol is married to Jim. They are blessed with two children and two grandchildren.
